kIDz Bad News, sorry
but....
you don't want to hear this...
but homework is an essential part of learning.
Check out the links
below!

The work you do at home after
school is important. It is excellent for reviewing what you learned
in the classroom and homework will help you to remember what
you were taught.
Homework exercises also give you an
opportunity to work alone.
It gives you a chance to see what you can
do.
Try to do your homework
in a quiet place!
Homework and review will
make you a better student. A better student always gets
better grades and the grade you get tells people how well you have
learned the subject. When you leave school and begin to look for a
college to attend the students with the best grades will
get accepted. And if you are looking for a job, the person with the
best school records will most often be chosen. Don't get left
behind!
What you do TODAY
will decide WHAT and WHERE you will be
TOMORROW!

CANADA

Canada. like The Bahamas is
a Commonwealth country. At one time, Canada, like us, was a British
territory. Today, like us, Canada is an independent country with
over 30 million citizens. Like The Bahamas, Queen Elizabeth is
recoginsed as the Head of State. A Governor General represents the
Queen in Canada. They have a parliament, similar to our own. A prime
minister runs the country on a daily basis and he has cabinet
ministers to assist him. There is also an appointed Senate. The
juducial system is similar to our own, as it too is British based.
Bahamians can visit Canada without a VISA. Many Bahamians have gone
to school in Canada. Many thousands of Canadians vacation in our
country every year.
Canada is a two language
nation. English and French are Canada's official
languages.
Canada's population is made
up of people from all over the world.

Canada, in sheer
size, is the SECOND largest country in the world. It is over
3,000 miles wide. Much of Canada is in the far north and has harsh
winters. Southern Canada has warm to hot summers and cool to very
cold winters. Where you live in Canada will determine the climate
you experience. Most Canadians live in southern Canada.
